Rust ist eine Gemeinde im Ortenaukreis in Baden-Württemberg. Sie liegt nordwestlich von Freiburg im Breisgau und südwestlich von Offenburg. Zur Gemeinde gehören außer dem Dorf Rust keine weiteren Ortschaften.
Rust liegt im Rheintal. Im Westen befinden sich jenseits des Rheins, der die Grenze zu Frankreich markiert, die Vogesen, östlich der Schwarzwald. Rust grenzt an das Naturschutzgebiet Taubergießen. Durch Rust fließt der Fluss Elz.
