Heiligenhaus ist eine mittlere kreisangehörige Stadt des nordrhein-westfälischen Kreises Mettmann im Regierungsbezirk Düsseldorf. Sie liegt im Städtedreieck Düsseldorf–Essen–Wuppertal im Niederbergischen Land.
Die Stadt erstreckt sich auf einem in west-östlicher Richtung verlaufenden ungefähr 160 Meter hohen Geländerücken, der nach Norden und Süden zum Vogelsangbachtal beziehungsweise Angertal hin stark abfällt.
