Die Bergstadt Lößnitz im Erzgebirge, auf Grund des Alters auch Muhme genannt, ist eine Stadt im Erzgebirgskreis, Sachsen, Deutschland und gehört zum Städtebund Silberberg.
Lößnitz ist eine Kleinstadt im westlichen Teil des Erzgebirges und gehört seit dem Ende des 20. Jahrhunderts zum Erzgebirgskreis. Sie liegt, eingebettet von bewaldeten Höhenzügen, in einem langgezogenen Tal in ca. 432 m Höhe über NN.
