Bad Windsheim ist eine an der Aisch gelegene Stadt im Landkreis Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim . Sie liegt westlich von Nürnberg. Der Kurort und Quellort für einige Mineralwasserfirmen ist ländlich geprägt.
Windsheim war seit der Stauferzeit durchgehend eine selbstständige Reichsstadt im Heiligen Römischen Reich, was sich im Stadtwappen widerspiegelt. Das Prädikat „Bad“ wurde Windsheim erst 1961 verliehen.
