Fichtenberg ist eine Gemeinde im Landkreis Schwäbisch Hall im fränkisch geprägten Nordosten Baden-Württembergs.
Die Gemeinde Fichtenberg liegt etwa 22 km südlich der Kreisstadt Schwäbisch Hall im Naturraum Schwäbisch-Fränkische Waldberge inmitten des Naturparks Schwäbisch-Fränkischer Wald in 333 bis 490 Meter Höhe. Das Gemeindegebiet beginnt wenig oberhalb der Linkswendung des unteren Tals der Rot, auch Fichtenberger Rot genannt, und zieht sich deren nachmaligem Lauf folgend ostwärts fast bis zur Mündung. An beiden Talseiten gehören dazu noch weite Randhöhen.
