Reesdorf liegt etwa 11 Kilometer nördlich von Neumünster und 15 Kilometer südlich von Kiel zwischen der Bundesautobahn 215 und der Bundesstraße 404.
In Reesdorf präsentieren sich zwei Kulturdenkmäler: Die Eiderbrücke aus dem Jahre 1803 sowie der „Widder“, einen alten Staudruck-Wasserheber, der seit 1936 zuverlässig seinen Dienst verrichtet.
