Das Weindorf Kürnbach, bekannt als Schwarzriesling-Dorf im Kraichgauer Hügelland, liegt im nordwestlichen Naturpark Stromberg-Heuchelberg nahe dem Zabergäu im Tal des Humsterbaches, der weiter westlich in den südwestlich von Kürnbach entspringenden Kraichbach mündet. Der Humsterbach wurde östlich des Ortes zum Schlosswiesensee als Rückhaltebecken aufgestaut. Nach Westen hin öffnet sich die Landschaft dem typischen bewirtschafteten Hügelland des Kraichgaus, während nach Osten in rund 1 km Entfernung vom Ort ein großes zusammenhängendes Waldgebiet des Naturparks Stromberg-Heuchelberg beginnt.
