Rheinbach ist eine Stadt im Rhein-Sieg-Kreis in Nordrhein-Westfalen und besitzt den Sonderstatus „Mittlere kreisangehörige Stadt“. Rheinbach liegt 16 Kilometer südwestlich der Bonner Innenstadt.
Rheinbach liegt im linksrheinischen Teil des Rheinlandes 16 km südwestlich der Innenstadt von Bonn und 34 km südlich von Köln. Die Stadt selbst liegt in der Voreifel, naturräumlich in der Swistbucht, größtenteils noch in der Ebene der Niederrheinischen Bucht; das Stadtgebiet umfasst aber auch einige Dörfer des Ahrgebirges, das sich südlich anschließt.
