Die Wolfsburg ist eine 1302 erstmals urkundlich erwähnte, mittelalterliche Niederungs- und Wasserburg, die sich später in ein Renaissance-Schloss wandelte. Sie befindet sich im östlichen Niedersachsen in der nach ihr benannten Stadt Wolfsburg, in deren Eigentum sie seit 1961 steht.
Die Wolfsburg entwickelte sich aus einem Wohnturm an der Aller zu einer Wasserburg mit Festungscharakter. Im 17. Jahrhundert wurde sie zu einem repräsentativen, aber trotzdem wehrhaften Schloss, das den nordöstlichsten Vertreter der Weserrenaissance darstellt. Gründer und Erbauer war das Adelsgeschlecht derer von Bartensleben. Nach dem Aussterben ihrer Linie 1742 ging die Wolfsburg durch Erbgang an die Grafen von der Schulenburg über.
