Rheindahlen ist ein Ort im Westen der kreisfreien Stadt Mönchengladbach in Nordrhein-Westfalen. Seit der Neugliederung der Mönchengladbacher Stadtbezirke am 22. Oktober 2009 ist Rheindahlen dem flächenmäßig größten Stadtbezirk West zugeordnet. Seit der Verleihung der Nideggener Stadtrechte im Jahr 1354 bis zur Eingemeindung der Bürgermeisterei Rheindahlen zur Stadt M.-Gladbach am 30. Juni 1921 war der Ort eine eigenständige Stadt.
