Bornheim () ist eine mittlere kreisangehörige Stadt im Rhein-Sieg-Kreis im Süden Nordrhein-Westfalens. Durch ihre zentrale Lage zwischen Köln und Bonn gehört sie zu den am stärksten wachsenden Städten der Region und ist mittlerweile die drittgrößte Stadt des Rhein-Sieg-Kreises. Durch die Stadtteile Waldorf, Kardorf, Merten und Walberberg führte einst die Eifelwasserleitung, ein römischer Aquädukt, durch den zu jener Zeit das römische Köln mit Trinkwasser versorgt wurde.
