Wetzendorf ist ein Dorf im nördlichen Burgenlandkreis am rechten Ufer der Unstrut. Es erstreckt sich längs der alten Weinstraße. Seit 1957 ist Wetzendorf Ortsteil der Gemeinde Karsdorf.
Der als Straßendorf entlang der alten Weinstraße entstandene Ort wird 1061 als Widesendorp, d. h. Dorf eines Widiso, erstmals urkundlich erwähnt. Wetzendorf gehörte zur Herrschaft Wiehe und gelangte mit dieser 1539 an die Herren von Werthern auf Beichlingen. Im Ort befand sich ein Rittergut, dass den Besitzern von Nebra unterstand.
