Das Taktische Luftwaffengeschwader 71 „Richthofen“ ist ein Traditionsverband der Luftwaffe. Stationiert ist das TaktLwG 71 „R“ auf dem Fliegerhorst Wittmundhafen. Es stellt die Alarmrotte für den norddeutschen Raum. Das aktuell verwendete Flugzeugmuster ist der Eurofighter Typhoon. Zwischenzeitlich war der Verband als Taktische Luftwaffengruppe „Richthofen“ dem Taktischen Luftwaffengeschwader 31 „Boelcke“ unterstellt. Am 1. Juli 2016 wurde die taktische Luftwaffengruppe wieder zum Geschwader. Dort sind bis zu 21 Eurofighter Typhoon stationiert.
Die wesentliche Aufgabe der Geschwaders in Friedenszeiten ist seit der Wiedervereinigung die Stellung der sogenannten Alarmrotte für den Norden des Bundesgebiets. Diese Aufgabe oblag zuvor der RAF Germany, zuletzt am Standort RAF Wildenrath.
