Die Mewa Arena in der rheinland-pfälzischen Hauptstadt Mainz ist das Fußballstadion des Fußballvereins 1. FSV Mainz 05. Das Stadion wurde am 3. Juli 2011 als Coface Arena offiziell eingeweiht.
Um wirtschaftlich konkurrenzfähig bleiben zu können, musste nach Angaben des 1. FSV Mainz 05 dringend ein neues Stadion gebaut werden. Die vom Verein favorisierte Lösung, ein Neubau direkt hinter dem bisherigen Bruchwegstadion inmitten des Stadtteils Hartenberg-Münchfeld, war aufgrund der Auflagen zum Lärmschutz der Anwohner finanziell nicht realisierbar. Dies galt auch für den Ausbau des Bruchwegstadions hin zu einem circa 35.000 Zuschauer fassenden Fußballstadion.
