Die Magdeburger Hochzeit bezeichnet die totale Verwüstung der Stadt Magdeburg am 10. Maijul./ 20. Mai 1631greg. durch kaiserliche Truppen unter Tilly und Pappenheim im Verlauf des Dreißigjährigen Krieges.
Die sarkastische Bezeichnung „Magdeburger Hochzeit“ wurde schon unmittelbar danach geprägt und soll die erzwungene Vermählung zwischen dem Kaiser und der Jungfrau Magdeburg beschreiben, die auf dem Wappenschild der Stadt abgebildet ist, welche sich schon über 100 Jahre lang gegen Zahlungen an den Kaiser gewehrt hatte. Nach der zeitgenössischen Chronik Theatrum Europaeum ist der Begriff auf Tilly selbst zurückzuführen:
