Der Bahnhof Regensburg Hauptbahnhof ist der größte Bahnhof der Stadt Regensburg. Das heutige Hauptgebäude wurde 1892 fertig gestellt und ersetzte einen etwas südlicher gelegenen Vorgängerbau, der 1859 im Zuge der ersten Bahnanbindung der Stadt errichtet worden war.
Der Regensburger Hauptbahnhof befindet sich am südlichen Rand der Altstadt, nahe bei Schloss St. Emmeram in unmittelbarer Nähe des nicht frei zugänglichen Schlossparks. Vor dem Bahnhofsgebäude befinden sich ein Taxistand und der Regional-Busbahnhof, in kurzer Entfernung der zentrale ÖPNV-Knotenpunkt Bustreff Albertstraße. Der Bahnhof bietet zahlreiche Einkaufsmöglichkeiten; seit dem Umbau 2004 erschließt die Gleisüberführung auch das südlich des Bahnhofs gelegene Einkaufszentrum Regensburg Arcaden. Auf dem Gelände befinden sich 177 Park- und 300 Fahrradstellplätze.
