Das Kastell Alzey, antiker Name Alteium, ist ein ehemaliges römisches Grenzkastell des spätantiken Donau-Iller-Rhein-Limes und liegt auf dem Gebiet der verbandsfreien Stadt Alzey, Landkreis Alzey-Worms/Rheinhessen, im Südosten des Bundeslandes Rheinland-Pfalz in Deutschland. Es wurde vermutlich im Zuge der letzten Ausbaumaßnahmen am Rheinlimes zwischen 367 und 370 n. Chr. unter dem weströmischen Kaiser Valentinian I. errichtet. Vorher bestand hier eine römische Zivilsiedlung , Altiaia, die im Jahr 352/353 von alamannischen Stämmen verheert wurde. Auch das Kastell wurde zweimal zerstört und vermutlich gegen Ende des 5. Jahrhunderts endgültig aufgegeben.
