Der Leipzig-Altenburg Airport ist ein regionaler Verkehrslandeplatz 42 Kilometer südlich von Leipzig und 5 Kilometer ost-südöstlich von Altenburg auf dem Gelände der Gemeinde Nobitz in Thüringen. Im Umkreis von 40 Kilometern befinden sich zudem die größeren Städte Gera, Zwickau und Chemnitz. Leipzig-Altenburg gilt als einer der ältesten Flugplätze Deutschlands.
Bereits zum Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts wurde der Flugplatz an der Leina auf dem Gebiet des Herzogtums Sachsen-Altenburg von Leipziger Flugzeugfabriken zur Stationierung von Flugzeugen genutzt. Auf dem Exerzierplatz fanden Flugtage statt.
