Das Unternehmen Thunderbike wurde unter dem Namen Motorradschuppen 1985 in Hamminkeln gegründet und spezialisierte sich anfänglich auf Sportmotorräder japanischer Hersteller. 1987 wurde das Unternehmen Vertragshändler der Marke Suzuki und war seither als Tuner dieser Marke tätig.
