Die Leipziger Tieflandsbucht ist eine relativ seen- und baumarme, sich aber durch sehr hohe Bodenfruchtbarkeit auszeichnende Landschaft im Nordwesten Sachsens und im Südosten Sachsen-Anhalts.
Ursprünglich war diese Gegend sehr wald- und gewässerreich. Im Zuge der Urbanisierung und des sich seit den 1920er Jahren entwickelnden Braunkohlentagebaues sind jedoch enorme Flächen abgeholzt und viele Gewässer kanalisiert bzw. umgeleitet worden. Die Leipziger Tieflandsbucht wird im Norden von der Dübener Heide, im Osten von der Elbe, im Süden vom Erzgebirgsvorland und dem Mittelsächsischen Hügelland sowie im Westen von der Saale begrenzt. Im Zentrum der Leipziger Tieflandsbucht liegt der Ballungsraum Leipzig-Halle. Weitere wichtige Städte sind Delitzsch, Eilenburg, Merseburg und Borna.
