Wellblechpalast ist seit dem 7. Oktober 2001 auch offiziell der Name der Halle 1 des Kunsteisstadions im Sportforum Hohenschönhausen in Berlin, welches bis zum Ende der DEL-Saison 2007/08 die Heimat des Eishockeyteams Eisbären Berlin war. Die Nachwuchsmannschaften und seit 2017 die Frauenmannschaft der Eisbären Juniors Berlin, der Berliner Schlittschuhclub und einiger Hobbymannschaften spielen auch heute weiter in der Halle, zum Teil wird die Halle auch durch die Oberligisten FASS Berlin genutzt. Der Wellblechpalast ist darüber hinaus Veranstaltungsort von Eisschnelllauf- und Eisspeedway-Wettkämpfen.
Die Bezeichnung „Wellblechpalast“ war anfangs eher abwertend von einem Journalisten geprägt worden. In den 1990er Jahren gewann diese Bezeichnung zunehmend Anhänger, bevor am 7. Oktober 2001 die Halle auch offiziell ihren Namen erhielt.
