Die Schlacht von Mogontiacum war ein Zusammenstoß zwischen den Franken und einem Bündnis der Vandalen, Sueben und Alanen und fand am 31. Dezember 406 statt. Die Schlacht wird kurz von Gregor von Tours in seiner Geschichte der Franken beschrieben.
Die fränkischen Überfälle auf den Rhein wurden so häufig, dass die Römer begannen, sie an ihren Grenzen stationieren, um sie zu kontrollieren. 292 besiegte Konstantin I. Chlorus die Franken, die sich an der Mündung des Rheins niedergelassen hatten, und ließ sie in die benachbarte Region Toxandria umziehen.
