Die Nordschleife ist der 1927 eröffnete und älteste Teil der Rennstrecke Nürburgring in der Eifel. Volkstümlich wird sie oft „Der Ring“ oder „Die grüne Hölle“ genannt.
Seit dem 2. Mai 2010 wird sie neben der modernen Grand-Prix-Strecke und weiteren Motorsportanlagen und Freizeiteinrichtungen von der Nürburgring Automotive GmbH betrieben, die der Lindner-Gruppe und dem Immobilienentwickler Mediinvest zu je 50 % gehört.
