Gerona (katalanisch: Girona) ist eine Stadt in der spanischen autonomen Region Katalonien. Sie ist die Hauptstadt der Provinz Gerona und der Comarca Gironès.
Gerona hatte am 1. Januar 2007 eine Einwohnerzahl von 92.186. Gerona liegt 102 Kilometer nordnordöstlich der katalanischen Metropole Barcelona und auf 75 Meter über dem Meeresspiegel. Die Stadt wird von den Flüssen Ter und Onyar durchquert.
Die Bürgermeisterin der Stadt ist Anna Pagans i Gruartmoner. Gerona hat eine eigene Universität, die Universitat de Girona, und den nach dem größten Flughafen in Katalonien,
