Strendur ist ein Ort der Färöer im Süden der Insel Eysturoy. Er gehört zur färöischen See-Gemeinde . Im Jahr 2014 hatte der Ort 762 Einwohner. Die Postleitzahl lautet FO-490.
Strendur ist der größte Ort der Sjóvar kommuna und liegt an der Südspitze einer Landzunge am Eingang des Tangafjørður zwischen Eysturoy und Streymoy im Westen und dem längsten färöischen Fjord, dem Skálafjørður im Osten. Das Ende der Landzunge zwischen Tangafjørður und Skálafjørður wird Raktangi genannt.
