Mirepoix ist eine südfranzösische Gemeinde mit 3.102 Einwohnern im Département Ariège in der Region Okzitanien.Mirepoix liegt auf dem Südufer des Flusses Hers-Vif im Pyrenäenvorland in einer Höhe von etwa 300 m zwischen den Städten Pamiers und Carcassonne bzw. Limoux . Etwa 30 km nördlich liegt die Stadt Castelnaudary; etwa 25 km südwestlich befindet sich das Städtchen Foix. Das Klima ist gemäßigt; Regen fällt übers Jahr verteilt.
