Foix ist eine Gemeinde im Département Ariège in der Region Midi-Pyrénées im Südwesten Frankreichs mit einer Bevölkerung von etwa 9.000. Sie gehört zum Arrondissement von Foix. Der Bahnhof Foix befindet sich in der Gemeinde.
Bis zur Französischen Revolution war Foix das Zentrum des Countys Foix, später eine unabhängige französische Provinz, das Pays de Foix, das ungefähr dem Département Ariège entsprach. Ab dem 13. Jahrhundert regierten die Herren von Foix auch über Béarn und ließen sich dort nieder.
