Das Schloss von Castelnaud ist eine mittelalterliche Burg, die ungefähr 10 Kilometer von Sarlat entfernt in Castelnaud-la-Chapelle liegt. Die älteste Erwähnung der Burg stammt aus dem dreizehnten Jahrhundert. Es spielte eine Rolle im Kruzifix gegen die Katharer und im Hundertjährigen Krieg mit England. Nach dem Mittelalter wurde die Burg langsam verlassen und wurde ab der Französischen Revolution zu einer Ruine. Die Burg verfügt über ein Museum, in dem viele Aspekte der mittelalterlichen Kriegsführung gezeigt werden, wie echte Katapulte, Schwerter und Rüstungen.
