Bei diesem Tumulus handelt es sich um einen Grabhügel. Der kleine Turm in seiner Mitte ist ein späteres Bauwerk. Die Hügelgräber im Limousin-Gebirge waren früher sehr zahlreich und gruppierten sich in Hügelgräberfeldern auf den Gipfeln und auf den Kammlinien. Die Ausgrabungen dieser Hügelgräber, die chronologisch zwischen dem 8. Jahrhundert und dem 1. Jahrhundert n. Chr. anzusiedeln sind, zeigen häufig eine Innenarchitektur, die durch eine Steinabdeckung geschützt ist, und eine zentrale Einrichtung, die oft eine Aschenurne und manchmal ein Körpergrab beherbergt.
Erreichbar über den Wanderweg 'Autour du Bois de Crozat' oder den Sentier des Poètes.
