Der Rundgang durch die Waschhäuser von Saint-Georges-de-Rex ist eine Reise in die Vergangenheit, die an diese geselligen Orte erinnert, an denen sich ausschließlich die Frauen des Dorfes trafen, um ihre Wäsche zu spülen und zu plaudern.
Das Waschhaus Grande Fontaine, das im Dorf in der gleichnamigen Straße eingerichtet wurde, wird von einer Quelle mit Handbrunnen gespeist und befindet sich entlang der Straße. Das offene Becken ist viereckig und abgeschrägt, um sich an die Parzelle und die Straße anzupassen.
