Cinderford ist eine Stadt und Bürgergemeinde am östlichen Rand des Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire, England, die bei der Volkszählung von 2011 eine Bevölkerung von 8.494 hatte.
Die Stadt entstand im 19. Jahrhundert, folgten der raschen Expansion der Cinderford Ironworks und des Forest of Dean Coalfield. Cinderfords Ursprünge sind im Stil und Layout der Stadt zu erkennen, mit langen Reihen identischer Reihenhäuser, ähnlich denen, die in den Bergdörfern der South Wales Valleys zu finden sind. Der Rückgang der Kohlenindustrie in den 1950er und 1960er Jahren machte sich in Cinderford bemerkbar, da die meisten Männer der Bevölkerung im Bergbau beschäftigt waren.
