Cholsey ist ein Dorf und eine Gemeinde 2 Meilen südlich von Wallingford in South Oxfordshire. Im Jahr 1974 wurde es von Berkshire nach Oxfordshire und vom Wallingford Rural District in den Bezirk South Oxfordshire übertragen. Die Volkszählung von 2011 erfasste die Bevölkerung der Gemeinde Cholsey mit 3.457. Die Grenzen der Gemeinde Cholsey, etwa 17 Meilen lang, reichen vom Rand von Wallingford bis zu den Berkshire Downs. Der Dorfplatz wird "The Forty" genannt und hat einen beträchtlichen und alten Walnussbaum.
