Der Fluss Dane ist ein Nebenfluss des Flusses Weaver, der im Peak-District-Gebiet von England seinen Ursprung hat. Der Name des Flusses stammt wahrscheinlich vom alten Walisischen "dafn", was "Tropfen oder Rinnsal" bedeutet und auf einen langsam fließenden Fluss hinweist.
Er bildet die Grenze zwischen dem erst Cheshire und Derbyshire im Westen und Osten und dann zwischen Cheshire und Staffordshire, wo er nordwestlich durch Cheshire fließt, bevor er in Northwich auf den Weaver trifft.
