Das Leonidaion war der Aufenthaltsort für Athleten, die an den Olympischen Spielen in Olympia teilnahmen. Es befand sich am südwestlichen Rand des Heiligtums und war das größte Gebäude auf dem Gelände. Es wurde um 330 v. Chr. erbaut und wurde von Leonidas von Naxos finanziert und entworfen.
Das Gebäude bestand aus vier ionischen Kolonnaden mit 138 dekorierten Säulen, die einen quadratischen Raum von etwa 80 Metern bildeten. Im Inneren gab es einen zentralen dorischen Peristyl mit 44 Säulen.
