Methana , altgriechisch ἡ Μεθάνα ) ist eine Halbinsel in der Argolis am Saronischen Golf am Ostzipfel der Peloponnes und ein Gemeindebezirk in der Gemeinde Trizinia-Methana. Von 1912 bis Ende 2010 war es eine eigenständige Gemeinde in der Region Attika. Hauptort der Gemeinde war der im Südteil gelegene gleichnamige Kurort Methana. Zum 1. Januar 2011 wurde die Gemeinde mit Trizina zur neuen Gemeinde Trizinia-Methana vereinigt, wo sie seither einen Gemeindebezirk bildet.
