Das Shee Alms House wurde 1582 von der Familie Shee gegründet, um 'zwölf armen Personen' in der Stadt Kilkenny, Irland, Unterkunft zu bieten. Es ist ein national bedeutendes Altesheim aus der Tudorzeit.
Sir Richard Shee gründete das Almosenhaus, ursprünglich das Krankenhaus Jesu genannt, in einer Zeit, als die Familie eine mächtige Kaufmannsfamilie in Kilkenny war. Er errichtete das Haus 1582 und stattete es in seinem letzten Willen 1603 aus. Lucas Shee, sein Sohn, arrangierte eine königliche Charta für das Almosenhaus, die am 4. November 1609 gewährt wurde. 1752 wurde das Almosenhaus von seinem Nachfahren Edmond Shee verkauft. Die Familie wurde während der Cromwell-Zeit enteignet. Dennoch gewannen sie im 18. Jahrhundert die Kontrolle und Macht zurück. Sir Nicholas Power O'Shee von Gardenmorris, Co. Waterford, übernahm 1756 das Eigentum des Hauses, und es wurde bis 1830 als Almosenhaus betrieben.
