Das Dolomitengebirge ist bekannt für seine vertikalen Gipfel aus teilweise fast weißem Dolomitgestein. Eine der Routen, die dich durch den italienischen Teil dieses Gebirges führt, ist die Grande Strada. Die Route verläuft durch drei italienische Provinzen (Südtirol, Trentino und Belluno) und es werden drei Sprachen gesprochen (Italienisch, Deutsch und Ladinisch).
