Die Villa Adriana oder Hadriansvilla wurde von 118 bis 134 n. Chr. etwa 30 Kilometer nordöstlich von Rom, 6 Kilometer vor Tivoli als Sommerresidenz und Alterssitz des römischen Kaisers Hadrian ausgebaut. Die Anlage umfasste mindestens 125 Hektar an bebautem Gebiet und Grünflächen und war damit die größte und aufwendigste Palastanlage, die sich je ein römischer Kaiser erbauen ließ.
