Piazza Cavallotti ist eine sanierte Grünfläche, die der Protagonist des Fußgängerwegs ist, der von der Piazza dei Miracoli zur Piazza dei Cavalieri führt und dann in der Via Dini nach Borgo führt. Der Platz wurde größer und grüner und der Fußgängerweg verbessert, um die Pisaner und Touristen, die von der Via Santa Maria kamen, dazu zu verleiten, den Platz zu überqueren, anstatt ihn wie früher zu umrunden.
