Es liegt nördlich der Stadt Sneek und südöstlich der Stadt Leeuwarden, zwischen den Dörfern Oosterlittens und Wieuwerd. Der Dorfkern liegt westlich der N384 in der Greidhoek. Durch das Dorfgebiet fließt der Jaanvaart und in der Umgebung der Bozumervaart. Es bildet ein Zwillingsdorf mit Wieuwerd mit einer gemeinsamen Dorfgemeinschaft. Im Jahr 2021 hatte das Dorf 105 Einwohner. Zum Dorf gehören auch die Weiler Jet und Kromwal.
