Nieuw-Roden ist ein Dorf in der Gemeinde Noordenveld, in der niederländischen Provinz Drenthe. Das Dorf hatte im Jahr 2021 1.260 Einwohner. Das Dorf liegt westlich von Roden, das durch Neubaugebiete vollständig gegen Nieuw-Roden gewachsen ist. Nieuw-Roden war ursprünglich ein Erweiterungsplan von Roden, wo 1937 die ersten Bewohner sich niederließen. Die Grenze zwischen den Dörfern lag damals bei der Woldzoom. Durch die Neubaugebiete verschwanden die dazwischenliegenden Wiesen und der Wohnort Roden wurde erweitert. Im ursprünglichen Dorf haben die Adressen noch den Ortsnamen Nieuw-Roden, in den Neubaugebieten haben die Adressen den Ortsnamen Roden.
