Oosterwolde ist ein Dorf und seit 1886 die Hauptgemeinde von Ooststellingwerf in der niederländischen Provinz Friesland. Das Dorf liegt fünf Kilometer von Appelscha entfernt. Der Opsterlandse Compagnonsvaart, der Teil der Turfroute ist, durchschneidet das Dorf, das aus der Zusammenlegung einiger Brinks entstanden ist. Davon ist die Oostenbrink am besten erhalten geblieben. Oosterwolde hat sich im 19. Jahrhundert insbesondere entlang der Vaart entwickelt, wo die meisten Industrien stattgefunden haben. Das Dorf liegt an der N381 und die N919 durchquert das Industriegebiet.
