Torenmühle von Gronsveld, Bronckweg Maastricht
Diese Mühle ist geografisch gesehen ein besonderer Fall: Obwohl sie seit der Grenzkorrektur von 1970 auf Maastrichtser Gebiet steht (zuvor Gemeinde Gronsveld), wird sie weiterhin als die Torenmühle von Gronsveld bezeichnet. Es ist die südlichste Windmühle der Niederlande. Da dieser Mühlentyp heute selten ist, wurde die Torenmühle von Gronsveld in die Denkmäler Top 100 aufgenommen. Die Mühle wurde im Auftrag des Grafen von Bronckhorst zwischen 1618 und 1623 erbaut. Der Hügel um die Mühle wurde 1766 angelegt. Im Zweiten Weltkrieg brannte die Mühle nach einem Granateneinschlag ab. Ihr heutiges Aussehen verdankt die Mühle Restaurierungen in 1959 und 1972. Jeden 1. und 3. Samstag im Monat zwischen 11:00 und 16:00 Uhr ist die Mühle zur Besichtigung geöffnet.
