Am Rande des Vijlenerwaldes, auf einer Höhe von etwa 160 bis 180 Metern über dem Meeresspiegel, thront das Weiler Camerig. Es ist der Ort für einen überwältigenden Blick über das Geuldal, die östlichen Ardennen und den Norden der Eifel. Die Landschaft rund um Camerig wurde von der Stiftung Natur und Umwelt mit fünf Sternen ausgezeichnet. Camerig ist auch ein guter Ort, um schöne, massiven Fachwerkhäuser aus dem 18. Jahrhundert zu bewundern.
