Exloo ist ein Dorf in der niederländischen Provinz Drenthe, Gemeinde Borger-Odoorn, auf dem Hondsrug. Im Jahr 2021 hatte Exloo 1.665 Einwohner. Obwohl es nicht das größte Dorf in der Gemeinde Borger-Odoorn ist, ist es dennoch der Hauptort der Gemeinde. Die Bedeutung von Exloo leitet sich von Eks-loo: Eichen-Wald ab. Historisch hatte dieser Ort laut verschiedenen Quellen auch die Namen Ekeslo und Ekelo, Exle, Exlo, Exloe, Exle, Exel, Exelle, Exelloe, Exloe und Exlo.
