Dieses ehemalige Kloster wurde 1903 von französischen Trappistinnen bezogen. Sie nannten das Haus Notre Dame du Perpetual Secours (Unsere Liebe Frau von immerwährender Hilfe). 1912 verließen die Schwestern wieder Frankreich. Im Ersten Weltkrieg wohnten dort Novizen der Väter der H.H. Herzen, die aus Belgien geflohen waren. Danach kam das Gebäude in den Besitz des Herstellers Van den Bergh, der ihm den Namen De Rendierhoeve gab. Vielleicht, weil auf den Etiketten des Werbematerials für seine AaBe-Decken Rentiere abgebildet waren.
