Das Rektorat der Universität Minho befindet sich am Platz Largo Do Paço.
Gottesdienste finden im alten Erzbischofspalast statt. Es wurde im 14. Jahrhundert auf Befehl von Erzbischof D. Fernando Guerra erbaut und im 16. und 18. Jahrhundert renoviert. Auffällig sind die Kassettendecke des Lesesaals und der Castells-Brunnen im Innenhof.
In diesen Räumen ist die öffentliche Bibliothek untergebracht. Der Grundriss hat die Form eines Kreuzes und verfügt über ein Satteldach.
