Der Mun-Fluss, manchmal auch als Moon River geschrieben, ist ein Nebenfluss des Mekong. Er transportiert jährlich ungefähr 26 Kubikkilometer Wasser. Der Fluss entspringt im Khao Yai Nationalpark im San Kamphaeng Gebirge, nahe Nakhon Ratchasima im Nordosten Thailands. Er fließt nach Osten durch das Khorat-Plateau in Süd-Isan (Provinzen Buriram, Surin und Sisaket) über 750 Kilometer, bis er in Khong Chiam in Ubon Ratchathani in den Mekong mündet. Der Hauptnebenfluss des Mun ist der Chi-Fluss, der ihn im Landkreis Kanthararom der Provinz Sisaket erreicht. [Wikipedia]
