Karkamış liegt im Südosten der Provinz und grenzt an die Provinz Şanlıurfa und an Syrien. Hier befindet sich ein Grenzübergang zur syrischen Stadt Dscharabulus. Die Stadt Karkamış liegt am Fluss Euphrat.
