Bike tour from Tschagguns (Kirchensteinweg) to the summit of Silvretta and back.
Total distance: 70 km.
The ride to Silvretta mainly takes place on the separate bike path that runs through the entire Montafon valley. This is highly recommended. Also suitable for racing bikes.
The return can be safely done on the main road. As this is a downgrade, the travel speed will be close to that of motorized traffic.
Please note that it is highly recommended not to cycle through the three tunnels on the main road (in both directions). Each time there is a (mandatory) alternative bike path that runs directly beside these tunnels.
The ascent of Silvretta begins after leaving the village of Partenen. The route is toll-free for cyclists, but charges apply for cars and motorcycles.
After 2/3 of the actual ascent, you will reach a first reservoir. Just grit your teeth, another 300 meters of elevation and you'll be at the top, Bielerhöhe.
